Authors Barbara Ballinger, a resident of Rhinebeck, and Margaret Crane, her writing partner of 35 years and a New York City resident, wrote their book, Suddenly Single After 50 (Rowman & Littlefield), offer practical and resourceful ideas to deal with life after relationship comes to an end.

Barbara was divorced after 31 years; Margaret lost her husband to cancer after 42 years of marriage. They share others' stories and advice from experts.

They will address the audience in person and sign books after their talk. A book club will meet via Zoom later to discuss their book and explore new ways to "reevaluate, reestablish, and reinvent."
